One of the most popular models that the country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, sells in the country is its compact sedan, Dzire. The Dzire, which is based on the Maruti Swift, is one of the best-selling models in its segment, and it will soon undergo a huge design update. The company will be launching it soon after the launch of the new Swift. Over the last few weeks, a few test mules of this sedan have been spotted testing in the wild. And now, a rendering based on these test mules and the already-launched Swift from the Japanese market has been shared online.

From the rendering, it can be noted that like the outgoing generation of the Dzire, the new-gen model will also be based on the new Swift. It will get a brand-new exterior design and a new interior as well. In addition, the company will most likely offer the new Dzire with its new Z-Series engine as well.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Exterior design details
Starting off with the exterior design details of the new Dzire, it will come with a brand-new front fascia. It will get a new, more sophisticated-looking grille with a honeycomb pattern, and it will also get a set of the same new sleek LED headlights like the new 2024 Swift. Additionally, the front bumper will also be completely revamped, and it will come equipped with fog lamps as well. The bonnet will be the same as the new Swift as well. Moving on to the side profile, it will also receive a host of updates, including a brand-new set of machined alloy wheels. Additionally, the rear will also get newly designed LED taillights and a new rear bumper.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift: Interior details
Moving on to the interior of the new Swift 2024, Maruti will offer it a brand-new modern interior design. It will get the new three-layered design similar to the one seen on the Japanese-spec Swift. The main highlight of the new interior will be the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen which will come with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The car will also get new rectangular AC vents and similar climate control buttons as the Grand Vitara, new Swift, and Baleno. It will also get a multifunction flat-bottom steering and a small MID screen in the instrument gauge cluster. The company will also add a few wooden inlays to make it look a little more premium.
Some reports have stated that the company will be offering the new Dzire with a sunroof as well. It is believed that the company will only be offering this feature with the ZXI+ variant, which is the top-of-the-line variant of this sedan. The fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire will become the first and only sub-compact sedan in its segment to offer a sunroof. At the moment, its competition, which includes the likes of the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor, do not offer a sunroof in any of their variants.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine specifications
Coming to the powertrain side of things, it will most likely come powered by the same engine as the new fourth-generation Swift, which was recently launched in the Japanese automotive market. The newly launched Swift in the Japanese market was showcased with a brand-new engine, which is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine known as the Z12E, belonging to Suzuki’s Z Series of engines. This new engine under the bonnet of the new fourth-generation Swift is a 1,197cc, 12-valve DOHC engine. As per the company, it generates a maximum power of 82 bhp and 108 Nm of peak torque.
