Upcoming Tata Currv Coupe SUV: Fresh Spyshots Confirm ADAS!

Tata Motors has been working on their new SUV, Curvv, for some time. The SUV is expected to be launched later this year. It is one of the biggest launches from Tata Motors this year. The Tata Curvv has been spotted testing several times. Each time the SUV is spotted testing, a new feature is revealed. The latest spy picture of the Tata Curvv reveals that the SUV will be offered with ADAS.

Tata Curvv ADAS camera

The image has been shared by Motor Octane on their website. The image shows a camera placed on the front windshield of the Tata Curvv. The camera is placed behind the IRVM and looks similar to what we have seen in the Tata Harrier and Safari. The website claims that the person who took the picture was probably traveling in a bus, which allowed him to take a clear picture of the camera.

There are no other images of the Tata Curvv that reveal the radar, which is usually placed on the lower air dam. It is quite possible that nobody noticed it because of the camouflage. It is also possible that Tata might only test the ADAS towards the end. Tata is expected to offer the same ADAS features that they offer with the Safari and Harrier.

Both these SUVs get radar-based ADAS. This feature offers Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, Door Open Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert, High Beam Assist, and many more.

It should be noted that ADAS is not an autonomous driving technology. It is only there to make the life of the driver much easier and reduce the number of accidents on the road. Like other Tata products, the upcoming Curvv is also expected to be a sturdy SUV. When launched, the Curvv might become the most affordable Tata car to be offered with the ADAS feature.

Tata Curvv

Tata showcased the near-production-ready version of the Curvv at the Auto Expo last year. The main attraction of the SUV is its design. Tata has decided to go for a coupe SUV-like design. The front of the Curvv is expected to be a mix of the Nexon and Harrier. Like the Nexon, the Tata Curvv will be offered in petrol, diesel, and electric versions.

Tata is expected to launch the electric version of the Curvv in the market first. The petrol and diesel versions would follow soon. The electric version of the Curvv is expected to come with a driving range of 450-500 km.

The engine is expected to generate around 125 PS and will be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options. The diesel version will use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which will be offered with both manual and AMT or automatic transmission.
