Former India captain and batting legend Sachin Tendulkar praised Amir Lone, a cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir who doesn’t have both arms, for his determination and resilience in overcoming challenges to pursue cricket.

For the unversed, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar kicked off the first edition of the Indian Street Premier League. He invited para cricketer Amir Hussain Lone to play the first ball of the tournament, which garnered attention on social media.

Amir Lone participated in the opening ceremony of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024 and played in a special match between Master’s 11 and Khiladi XI at Dadoji Kondev Stadium in Thane. He batted alongside Sachin Tendulkar for Master’s XI and also bowled during the match.

Amir also got the chance to display his distinctive bowling skills. Sachin, positioned behind the stumps, couldn’t help but appreciate Amir’s talent and resilience, offering words of praise.

Sachin Tendulkar, on his X handle (formerly Twitter), praised Amir as a “Real Leg Spinner” and hailed him as an inspiration for everyone. He wrote:
