Gong Zheng, mayor of Shanghai, said he has confidence in the economic performance of China’s financial hub. Gong made the remarks at the conclusion of the annual session of the Shanghai People’s Congress on Saturday. Earlier in his government work report, the mayor set a GDP growth target of around 5 percent for 2024.
