Detailed Video Comparison and Analysis

Maruti Fronx is one of the most popular Nexa products from the Indian car manufacturer. Just like many other models, Toyota sells a rebadged version of the Fronx at their dealerships. Toyota’s version of the Fronx is called Taisor, and it was officially launched in the market last month. If you are confused between these two vehicles, here we have a video that compares both crossovers in detail.

The video has been shared by the AutoTrend Tamil Channel. In this video, the vlogger compares the exterior and interior of both the Taisor and Fronx. For this video, the vlogger has opted for the top-end automatic turbo petrol variants. The vlogger starts with the front. Both crossovers are finished in white, which is extremely popular among buyers in India.

The front grille of the Fronx is derived from the Grand Vitara. It is even called the baby Grand Vitara due to its SUV-like look. The triple dot dual-function LED DRLs and triple LED headlamp setup give it a premium look. The Taisor, on the other hand, gets a different design for the LED DRLs. The front grille design is also inspired by other Toyota models sold internationally. In fact, it resembles the front grille of the Innova Hycross.

The design of the lower air dam on both the Fronx and Taisor is different, but both get silver-colored skid plates. Moving to the side profile, the design looks the same. The only major difference here is the wheels. The design of the alloy wheels on both cars is different. They both get 16-inch wheels from the factory.

Fronx vs Taisor

The vlogger also mentions that Toyota offers a dual-tone finish with the white shade from the factory, while Maruti doesn’t offer it. As we move to the rear, the crossovers have other changes. Both have LED tail lamps with a connecting LED bar that runs across the width of the vehicle. The design of the LED elements inside the tail lights is different in both cars.

We also see different badges on both cars. Other than this, both Taisor and Fronx remain the same dimensionally. The vlogger then enters the cabin to talk about the changes. He mentions that there are no changes except for the logos. The Taisor gets the Toyota logo, and the Fronx gets the Suzuki logo.

Both of them get black and plum or brown-colored dual-tone interiors. Both cars have features like a HUD, floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, multi-function steering wheel with a flat bottom, twin-pod instrument cluster with a color MID in the center, and so on.

Both Taisor and Fronx are available with a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder NA petrol engine and a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, Boosterjet turbo petrol engine. The turbo petrol engine gets a manual and 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, while the NA version gets manual and AMT gearbox options.

The price for the lower variant of the Fronx is Rs 20,000 less than the Taisor, while the higher variants have a similar price tag. Toyota is offering a better warranty package for the Taisor. They are offering 3 years or 1,00,000 km as a standard warranty, while Maruti Suzuki is offering a warranty of 2 years or 40,000 km only as standard. This can be extended too. Upon extending, Toyota is offering a 2.20 lakh km or 5 years warranty, while Maruti offers a maximum of 1 lakh km only.

Mechanically, both vehicles remain the same. If you are looking for a better warranty package, the Toyota Taisor is the one to go for; otherwise, you can go with the Maruti Fronx.
