Animal movie fame Tripti Dimri has picked India superstar batsman and former skipper Virat Kohli as undoubtedly her favorite cricketer in the world.
While Virat Kohli remains in the minds of his fans 24/7, the 29-year-old Tripti Dimri has hogged a lot of limelight and attention of the fans in the past week since sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor in the Animal movie that hit the theatres last week.
As Tripti Dimri has gone viral among the fans – her Instagram following has made a stunning jump of over 200 percent, from about 600K followers, her Insta following has gone to 2.5 million – fans have been digging out some of her old videos. The fans of Virat Kohli got excited when a video of her picking Virat Kohli as her favorite batsman went viral.
In an interview, Tripti Dimri was asked who is her favorite cricket player. Without missing a beat, Dimri named Kohli, adding that there is “no doubt” about it.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma both have taken a break from white-ball games in South Africa
Meanwhile, both Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma took a rest from the white-ball matches in South Africa this month as they continue to recover from the grind and pain of the World Cup 2023, the final of which Inida lost last month.
Both the senior cricketers will miss the upcoming 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs against South Africa but they will return for the Test series. Both Rohit and Kohli are expected to feature in a couple of red-ball practice matches ahead of the 2-Test series against Bavuma’s team.
In the absence of Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul will captain India in the ODIs and Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side in the T20Is against the Proteas.
This seems to be the last chance for both Rohit and Kohli to record a Test series win in South Africa, something which no Indian team has ever managed to do. India lost the last two Test series in South Africa by 2-1 under Kohli.
